Ignite Tracks are like mini-courses you can take during the conference, designed to help you develop specific skills and materials. Each Track has 3 sessions which are carefully designed to build on each other

Ignite Tracks Committee Mission Statement

The mission of the Ignite Tracks Committee is to organize three engaging Tracks for Ignite attendees to participate in during the conference. Each Track will be made up of three 45-minute sessions on a topic of interest to HiPower members, and should build on each other to help HiPowerites develop a concrete skill.

Ignite Tracks Committee Obligations

The Ignite Tracks Committee Members shall be responsible for the following:

  • Decide on three Ignite Tracks topics: Brainstorming topics that will be interesting and useful to HiPower members and working together to choose the three best topics. Compiling ideas for what might be included in each Track session. Creating a shortlist of potential leaders for each Track.

  • Outreach to potential Ignite Tracks leaders: Reaching out to HiPower members with relevant expertise to develop and lead Tracks on the identified topics. Guiding them through the planning process and providing feedback as needed.

  • Promote Ignite Tracks: Working with Track leaders to write copy for the HiPower website explaining their Track. Posting on Mobilize and in group chats to promote Track sign ups and give members more information about each Track.

  • Coordinate logistics for Ignite Tracks sessions: Planning for the execution of Ignite Tracks sessions, including securing A/V and other session needs, communicating schedule and room assignments to Track leaders and participants, and ensuring each session runs smoothly.

  • Gather feedback from members: Collecting feedback from members to improve the sessions and ensure that they are meeting their needs
