HiPower Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: October 31, 2026
HiPower exists to bring leaders together, and we want everyone who is part of our community, or interested in joining it, to be able to use our website and take part in our programs and events.
Our website
We aim for hipower.org to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard most widely used for websites in the United States. Our efforts include:
• descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, including member photos and event images;
• a clear heading structure and descriptive link text so the Site works with screen readers;
• color combinations chosen for readable contrast;
• forms and checkout pages that can be completed using a keyboard and screen reader, with labeled fields; and
• captions on videos we produce.
Known limitations
The Site is built on Squarespace, and some components, such as parts of the checkout process and embedded content from third parties like LinkedIn, video players and maps, are controlled by those providers. Some older PDFs and images of text may not yet be fully accessible. If you need any of this content in another format, contact us and we will provide it.
Events and programs
We want every participant to be able to take part fully in HiPower workshops, the Spring Refresh and Ignite. If you need an accommodation, such as an accessible hotel room, mobility assistance, seating near the speaker, captioning or live transcription for virtual sessions, materials in large print or electronic format, or dietary accommodations, please tell us when you register or by emailing legal@hipower.org. For in-person events, letting us know at least 30 days in advance helps us arrange accommodations with the venue, though we will do our best to meet later requests.
Our online membership tier and online sessions are part of how HiPower makes the community accessible to members who cannot travel in a given year.
Feedback and assistance
If you have trouble using any part of our website or have suggestions for improving accessibility, please contact us at legal@hipower.org. Please tell us the page and the problem you encountered. We aim to respond within 10 business days and, where we cannot fix a problem quickly, to provide the information or service you need another way.
