Ignite Breakouts are sessions at our annual Ignite conference where HiPower members are invited to connect, share, and learn from each other in smaller groups. Our Breakouts are designed to foster the deeper connections between members that make the HiPower community uniquely rewarding and resilient.

The mission of the Ignite Breakouts Committee is to organize engaging breakout sessions for Ignite attendees to learn, share, and connect with each other in smaller groups during the conference. 

ignite breakouts Committee Obligations

The Ignite Breakouts Committee Members shall be responsible for the following: 

  • Plan Ignite Breakouts topics and structure: Brainstorming topics that will be interesting and useful to HiPower members and structures to facilitate engagement (e.g. mini circles or panels). Creating a plan for breakout sessions including schedule, topic(s), and volunteers.

  • Promote Ignite Breakouts: Write copy for the HiPower website explaining the topic(s) and structure of the breakout sessions. Posting on Mobilize and in group chats to give members more information about each breakout and get them excited to participate.

  • Coordinate logistics for Ignite Breakouts sessions: Planning for the execution of Ignite Breakouts, including securing A/V and other session needs, identifying and preparing breakout facilitators, and ensuring each session runs smoothly.

  • Gather feedback from members: Collecting feedback from members to improve the sessions and ensure that they are meeting their needs.
