CEO, A2Q2, A2Q2

Kim is the CEO & Founder of A2Q2, a Special Ops team for finance departments. A2Q2 helps growth companies solve challenges in SOX compliance and readiness, internal controls and accounting processes and systems (NetSuite). Key clients included Airbnb, Square, Stanford University and Uber.

Her passion for community building resulted in Kim founding Directors League, a peer-to-peer community of exclusively board members currently serving on public companies.

Kim’s humble beginnings are the foundation for the firm’s purpose of expanding your superpowers. She and her family were among the “boat people” from Vietnam who escaped to Malaysia. Kim started her public accounting career with Arthur Andersen. In 2003, Kim founded A2Q2 to successfully sponsor work visas for two friends, growing the firm to 100+ people.

In her spare time, Kim runs Tough Mudder events, gets roughed up in kickboxing and crashes motorcycles.

Community Involvement

Kim regularly speaks on advancing Asian leadership for Ascend and women leadership for Wilpower (part of Leading Women in Technology). Kim is part of Hipower, a select group of women corporate leaders focused on accelerating each woman’s leadership role from professional success to wide-ranging significance.

Kim currently serves as the Audit Committee Chair on the board of MidPen Housing. Kim is also on the Board of the Silicon Valley Directors’ Exchange. Kim is a Senior Fellow (Class XXV) in American Leadership Forum, a network of regional leaders committed to serving the common good in Silicon Valley.

In her spare time, she crashes motorcycles and runs Tough Mudder events.
