Eleanor Lacey is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Asana, a leading work management platform pioneering a new way for teams to work. With over 20 years of experience in building scalable, business-focused teams, Eleanor oversees Asana’s legal department including all areas of privacy, compliance, IP, and commercial. Prior to joining Asana, Eleanor served as Chief Legal Officer for cyber security software company Sophos. Before her time at Sophos, Eleanor led the legal teams for a number of leading B2B and B2C companies including SurveyMonkey, Corel Corporation and Niku Corporation.

With a strong commitment to fostering professional development opportunities for women in both legal and non-legal fields, Eleanor is an executive member of Hipower and serves on the Advisory Council of the Women’s General Counsel Network. Eleanor received her JD from Yale Law School and her BA in English and History from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She also studied Mandarin at the University of California, Santa Cruz and Tunghai University in Taiwan.
