Julie Glasser is Vice President, Corporate Law at Sangamo Therapeutics, a publicly traded genomic medicine company headquartered in San Francisco, California. Sangamo is advancing a robust pipeline of wholly owned and partnered programs in rare disease, neurology, oncology and autoimmune indications with the goal of developing genomic medicines that transform the lives of patients. At Sangamo, Julie develops and manages the corporate legal function and provides pragmatic legal advice on key finance, transactional, governance, employment, investor relations and compliance matters.

Prior to Sangamo, Julie was Deputy General Counsel, Assistant Corporate Secretary and Deputy Compliance Officer at Luminex Corporation, a publicly traded biotech company headquartered in Austin, Texas. In her role as DGC, Julie advised on corporate governance, commercial transactions, disputes and litigation, data privacy, employment, clinical affairs, intellectual property and compliance. Prior to her role at Luminex, Julie was Corporate Counsel at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she was primary legal advisor to the executive leadership of multiple business units. Before moving to Austin, Julie worked as Staff Counsel in the Office of General Counsel at New York University and as an Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. Julie received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fisk Stone Scholar and Tony Patiño Fellow. Julie received her M.A. and B.A. from Stanford University, where she was a Stanford President's Scholar, and was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to the Russian Federation after graduation.

In 2021, Julie became a Certified Corporate Governance Professional and a Certified Ethics and Compliance Professional. She received company-wide recognition for championing process improvement initiatives, routinely serves as a mentor for internal and community-led professional mentorship programs, and sits on several nonprofit boards.
