Svetlana Kamyshanskaya

Partner, Primum Law Group

Svetlana Kamyshanskaya, founder of Primum Law Group, is more than an international business lawyer, she is a global citizen with the legal, operational and project management know-how to chart a successful course for expanding international companies and startups. She has specific experience working with multinational, impact companies making a difference in the sustainable energy and climate change sectors, as well as companies developing artificial intelligence products and other cutting-edge technologies.

The secret to Svetlana’s leadership lies within her expansive global perspective and her very individual empathy and emotional intelligence. As an immigrant who has established and grown her own businesses both in Russia and the U.S., Svetlana’s corporate legal work is informed by her rich cross-cultural point of view and a deep understanding of the fast-paced, venture-fueled U.S. tech business lifecycle. Combining that perspective with extensive legal, regulatory, and operational experience, she brings these pieces together to help clients efficiently navigate their legal and business needs.

Svetlana closely partners with her clients – often serving as outside general counsel – to design the most advantageous route forward while delivering concierge-style connections to complementary professionals that help ensure her clients’ goals are achieved. Guiding both foreign and domestic organizations from startup through growth and to exit, she brings a global perspective to her representations that bridges cultures and strategy that mitigates risk while maximizing value.

A true connector, Svetlana is active in a number of organizations, including Leading Women in Technology, The Club of Silicon Valley, and ProVisors, and she provides volunteer legal services to low-income San Francisco residents via the Justice and Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco. She is a frequent speaker at legal and business events and has served on various startup pitch judging panels.
