Amy Patel specializes at the intersection between life sciences, technology, and software with an array of unique experiences across the analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical and medical device industries in product strategy, product management and digital transformation. She is currently the Director of Software Strategy and Digital Transformation for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s enterprise scientific software, Chromeleon CDS.  Although based in Austin, TX, Amy has been managing global teams that support customers around the world for several years. She serves on the board of Directors for Girls Empowerment Network, an Austin-based non-profit that focuses on helping girls discover they are powerful through teaching self-efficacy. 

Before joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Amy worked for IBM Global Business Services, Genentech and Neutrogena, she also founded & sold her own event coordination company, Planning Elegance. Amy possesses an MBA from the University of Southern California, where she was a Consortium Fellow and student body president, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. She currently lives in Bee Cave, TX with her 3 kids and husband, enjoying the Austin Rescue Zoo, Lake Travis, hiking, local breweries, and traveling around the world.
