With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Cheng is a biotech industry veteran and has experience in a variety of roles in drug development. She is a co-founder and CEO of PTM Therapeutics, Inc., a preclinical stage antibody therapeutics company developing treatments for inflammatory bowel disease and solid tumors. Previously, Dr. Cheng has been the vice president of legal affairs and general counsel at Adverum Biotechnologies. Dr. Cheng has served as in-house patent counsel for a number of biotechnology companies including Allergan, MAP Pharmaceuticals, Solazyme, Inc. and Raven Biotechnologies. Dr. Cheng began her career at Genentech as a research associate. She received a B.A. in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley. She earned a Ph.D. in tumor cell biology and molecular medicine from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law.
