Janeé Weaver is a Senior Attorney with a 14 year career advising companies in highly regulated industries, including transportation, healthcare, and finance. She is currently Senior Counsel, Regulatory Compliance, at Lyft where she advises lines of business on rideshare, autonomous vehicles, sustainability, accessibility for persons with disabilities, and data privacy regulatory requirements. She also provides regulatory support for new product features and the expansion of Lyft rideshare into new markets.

Prior to joining Lyft, Janeé was the Principal Compliance Officer at North County Transit District where she implemented the District’s Comprehensive Compliance Oversight Program which ensured compliance with the Federal Transportation Administration, Federal Railroad Administration, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and California Public Utilities Commission regulatory requirements. In addition she oversaw NCTD’s Internal Audit Program; assisted with the mobilization of NCTD’s rail contract, valued at $300 million; and NCTD’s bus contract valued at $400 million. Prior, she worked at WALZ Group where she ensured fair mortgage practices were implemented by the nation’s top finance institutions; Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene where she assisted with the Affordable Care Act implementation by drafting the state’s Medicaid regulations; and Maryland Attorney General’s Office as an Associate supporting the state’s Automobile Insurance Division.

Janeé is a proud alumnus of Purdue University and University of Iowa School of Law. She is the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 HandsOn San Diego Advisory Board President.

Janeé is a licensed attorney in the state of Maryland and registered in-house counsel with the California State Bar.
