Chitra Balasubramanian is a seasoned Finance Executive based in Silicon Valley, serving as the Chief Financial Officer at CircleCI, a prominent infrastructure software company headquartered in San Francisco, CA. In her role, Chitra oversees the finance, accounting, and program management domains, contributing to the company's global operational and revenue growth. Over nearly seven years, her strategic leadership has been pivotal in CircleCI's expansion and in securing over $300 million through multiple rounds of financing.

Before joining CircleCI, Chitra managed finance, accounting, and business analytics at RetailNext, the leader in comprehensive in-store analytics. Her tenure saw the company's expansion from fewer than 20 to over 300 employees worldwide and played a key role in M&A as well as capital raising. Chitra also introduced the RetailNext Performance Pulse Index, now a recognized benchmark in North American retail traffic.

Chitra's extensive background includes positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, focusing on audit and technology innovation, and at Lehman Brothers (subsequently acquired by Barclays Capital) within the Technology Investment Banking division. She also contributed to Blackhawk Network, managing forecasting across several product lines.

In addition to her professional achievements, Chitra is deeply involved in the technology community, both as an angel investor and as a member of the Board of Trustees and Finance Subcommittee at the Computer History Museum. She holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where she was President of the Investment Finance Association, and a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley.

Chitra lives in Orinda, CA, with her husband and two daughters. Beyond her professional life, she is passionate about tennis and serves on the board of the Sleepy Hollow Swim and Tennis Club.
