Nanci Hibschman is a Principal in the San Francisco office of Sullivan, Cotter and Associates, Inc. and is also the firm’s National Practice Director for the Not-for-Profit Sector. Prior to joining SullivanCotter, Nanci was a Partner at Mercer, leading the Tax Exempt Organization practice, responsible for overseeing the advice, standards, methodology and intellectual capital for all not-for-profit clients. Prior to joining Mercer, Nanci was in the Human Capital practice at Deloitte Consulting.

Having dedicated herself exclusively to serving not-for-profit organizations over the last 10 years, Nanci’s areas of technical expertise span executive and employee total compensation, endowment and foundation investment group compensation and incentive plan design, and board governance and advisory services.

Nanci conceived, created and founded the Foundation HR Alliance, an affinity group for the senior HR leaders in philanthropy across the US. She regularly designs, develops and launches quantitative compensation surveys for major clients in the not-for-profit sector and is a frequent speaker and author on the topic of executive compensation and best practices for tax-exempt organizations. Her latest speaking engagements were at the Georgetown University National Law Conference, Nonprofit Governance: Issues and Challenges in Executive Compensation, and at the Foundation HR Alliance Summit on the topic of Executive Compensation in Private Foundations.
