Join Annie Rogaski, host and producer of two podcasts – HIPerspectives and Unraveling Pink – as she shares her passion of podcasting. In this session, you’ll learn about what podcasts are, why you might want to start one, the benefits and challenges of podcasting, and the need for more women’s voices in this growing medium.
In this interactive session, we’ll record and produce a short episode together, to show hands-on what the process involves. Depending on time and interest, we can also delve into some questions to consider if you do want to start a podcast.
As a startup executive, I believe that a diversity of experiences and talents, combined with the shared desire to create something extraordinary, naturally garners success. Through co-founding a law firm and a women’s leadership non-profit, and creating and producing two podcasts, I’ve worn many hats. Trained in chemistry and law, my entrepreneurial adventures permitted me to also dive into operations, finance, sales, and marketing. I leverage this unique cross-functionality to build and inspire teams to manifest important change, unified behind a vision. I thrive in early-stage, fast-paced, technology-focused environments where teamwork is critical to success.
Building on a 20 year litigation and intellectual property practice, I joined the Avegant team as its VP and General Counsel and first lawyer to support the growth of its head-mounted display personal theater product and also support bringing its technological innovation to the augmented reality market (www.avegant.com).
When not wearing my legal hat, I engage men and women in constructive conversations about gender bias – or “pink bandana moments” – to break down the assumptions that prevent women and men from reaching their professional goals. I share these conversations on Unraveling Pink, a podcast exploring pink bandana moments that launched in 2017 (available on iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, TuneIn, SoundCloud, and www.unravelingpink.com).
