Raissa Bump

Owner, Raissa Bump Jewelry

For over fifteen years Raïssa has designed and fabricated jewelry under her name, Raïssa Bump. Her work is sought after and collected. She’s exhibited, lectured, and taught around the country at leading institutions such as Sienna Patti Contemporary, California College of the Arts, and Penland School of Craft.

Raïssa is committed to creating experiences to enable women to stand up, stand out, and stand strong. As a powerful, silent communicator jewelry is one way she does this. Along with these experiences, she’s driven by long-term resilience, not short-term success and burnout.

With a keen intuitive sense of a big picture, Raïssa founded the project Reset to teach techniques to keep bodies in working form, minds attentive, and to help prevent or relieve common strains or stresses of any daily practice.

In her role as co-chair of the board of directors, Raïssa takes her grounded, quietly strong leadership to the nonprofit Art Jewelry Forum, which educates about and advocates for the international field of contemporary jewelry.

Across platforms, Raïssa is respected for her thoughtful approach to the everyday and for easing the pace of time around her. She’s a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design (BFA) and studied with Italian master, Giampaolo Babetto, at Alchimia School of Contemporary Jewelry in Florence, Italy.

A native of New York’s Hudson Valley, she lives and works in San Francisco.
