Amy Henderson is the CEO and Co-founder of Tendlab, a consultancy that provides hands-on advice and workshops for Fortune 500 companies, tech startups, and parents at places like Salesforce, Accenture, Yelp, Zendesk, FitBit, and more. Tend Lab’s mission is to help companies unlock the power and potential of parenthood in the workplace in a way that benefits every employee by maximizing productivity. Amy’s work with Tendlab has been featured in Slate, Forbes, Fast Company, the Wall Street Journal, and more. Amy’s book, Tending, will be published at the end of 2019 by Nationbuilder Books.
As a mindful social entrepreneur, Amy’s played a key role in launching ventures to address some of the most pressing issues of our time. Prior to launching Tendlab, Amy co-founded #YesWeCode with Van Jones, Cheryl Contee and the support of the rockstar Prince to increase racial diversity in the tech sector. She also partnered with Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus to use microcredit to address climate change in Bangladesh; championed youth combating AIDS in Africa and climate change in the Arctic, and started one of this country’s most successful Ashoka's Youth Venture initiatives.
