Vice President Product, Grail
Jenn Buechel is a senior healthcare executive, with over 20 years of broad experience in product strategy, development, and operations in regulated environments. Currently, she is the Vice President of Product at GRAIL, a healthcare company focused on early detection of cancer, where she is responsible for product and project management.
As VP of Product for GRAIL, Jenn is responsible for leading the team that will deliver GRAIL’s first commercial product to global markets, impacting over 70% of the organization’s activities. A champion of socially responsible products for underserved populations, Jenn is also a Board member and Chair of the Product Advisory Committee for D-Rev, a medical device NGO focused on innovative product design and delivery. D-Rev’s second product line, Remotion, was recently selected by SFMOMA for their “Designed in California” exhibit and is on display at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
Prior to GRAIL, Jenn spent three years at Guardant Health, a liquid biopsy company. Responsible for product management, technology development, automation, enterprise software and IT, Jenn grew the product portfolio from one to four products and three long-term collaborations, and transitioned product development from CLIA controls to QSR/IVD controls.
Before Guardant Health, Jenn worked at Genentech, where she led the product development of two drug candidates into Phase I and Phase II clinical trials, and ran business operations for all of Genentech’s Research and Early Development organization. Other experience includes operations leadership roles at McKinsey and Kraft Foods.
Jenn earned her Bachelor of Applied Science (Chemical Engineering, 2nd honors) and Bachelor of Arts (English Literature) from Queen’s University in Canada, and her MBA and Masters of Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University.
