Content Marketing Lead, Airbnb
Hayley Nelson leads content marketing at Airbnb, where she spearheads the global brand editorial strategy. Nelson brings twenty years of marketing and product management expertise to help companies engage customers and drive growth. She has helped both startups and big companies alike navigate digital disruption, transforming their approach to publishing and their relationship with their audience.
Previously Hayley was general manager of NewCo, a cross-platform media startup, and director of product development at Wired, where she implemented a new approach to digital efforts that resulted in record traffic and revenue. Hayley spent a decade leading digital transformation efforts at The New York Times and The Associated Press in New York. She started her career in media at Wired and CNET in San Francisco and then Singapore. Hayley is a graduate of Northwestern University, and holds an MBA from Wharton and a Master’s in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins. She enjoys hiking, running, yoga and travel.
