Known as a business innovator, Shannon Nash leads teams to success in operations, processes and company culture. With over 20 years of experience as a business executive in both public and private companies, Shannon's career path has been about adapting to the moment, building versatility across all elements of a company and providing crossfunctional value. She uses her tenacity and natural inquisitive nature to spark action in teams to deliver superior results. Her extensive operations experience includes overseeing finance, human resources, information technology, sales operations, legal, procurement, and business processes. Shannon is both an attorney and CPA who is passionate about building things ‐teams, companies and people.
Shannon is the COO & CFO of Inside Source, a privately held leading space design, planning and commercial furniture dealer with over 250 employees with 7 locations in the Bay Area, Seattle and New York. Selected as one of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies for 6 years in a row by the San Francisco Business Times, Inside Source is experiencing expansive growth. Shannon heads all business operations and is charged with leading the company through its next phase with goals of doubling revenues and workforce.
Prior to Inside Source, Shannon was VP of Finance at Cumulus Media (NASDAQ‐ CMLS) where she led business operations for the San Francisco market. Cumulus Media is the second largest broadcast media company in the US with over 450 stations in 90 markets. Shannon was also the COO of Aspire University, an affiliate of Aspire Public Schools, which is one of the oldest, and highest performing charter management organizations in the US.
Shannon started her legal and finance career as a Senior Manager with KMPG's National Tax office. She then went on to practice law as a corporate, tax and employment lawyer at top law firms; Cooley LLP and K&L Gates LLP. Shannon next transitioned to the corporate world where she worked as a Senior Attorney with Amgen (NASDAQ‐ AMGN) in its corporate headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA and as an expat in Lucerne, Switzerland. She was also counsel for the Amgen Foundation.
Shannon then took a general management and human resources role becoming the Executive Director of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy where she led the organization’s expansion to a premier national performing arts company. She later became CFO of Sunseeker Media, a full‐service multimedia company producing films, TV shows and webisodes. Shannon also produced an award‐winning documentary on autism called Colored My Mind, winner of the best short documentary at the 2013 American Pavilion in Cannes.
She has a passion for Board service, with a focus on Audit, Finance and Governance issues. She earned her BS in accounting from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce and her JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
